About Us

Vietsmak – a family-owned restaurant since June 16, 2023

Vietsmak is a family-owned restaurant focused on sustainability and authentic Vietnamese flavors. Our goal is to contribute to people's well-being, protect the environment, and create long-term value – for both our guests and society.

With great care and passion, we prepare all our food from scratch using our own recipes. Our base broth is simmered for at least five hours, and we place great emphasis on meticulous preparation to ensure the highest quality in every dish.

Our sauces are made on-site using carefully selected ingredients such as anti-inflammatory spices, mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and high-quality herbs.

We use high-quality meat from one of Sweden's leading suppliers for restaurants and institutional kitchens, allowing us to offer cost-effective dishes without compromising on quality. We also serve ASC-certified shrimp from Vietnam, Vietnamese rice paper, as well as fresh ingredients and seasonal organic vegetables.

Since December 5, 2025, Vietsmak has also been present in Bromma, where we operate Widmark Thao Tailoring and Dry Cleaning – a business we have run for nearly 16 years and which will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2026.

Vietsmak Restaurant and Tailoring are part of Vietsmak Holding AB, and in 2026 we are in an expansion phase. We are now looking for a Vietnamese chef who wants to become part of our team and contribute to the development of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare authentic Vietnamese dishes according to our recipes
  • Prepare ingredients and work with cooking from scratch
  • Brew broth and handle long-simmering processes
  • Prepare sauces and work with traditional spices and herbs
  • Ensure high quality, taste, and presentation in all dishes
  • Follow hygiene and food safety procedures
  • Work according to a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends

Qualifications

  • Experience with Vietnamese cooking
  • A genuine interest in food and drink, as well as a desire to constantly develop
  • Good knowledge of traditional ingredients and techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and stress-resistant
  • Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive manner
  • A good team player who contributes to a positive work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Creativity and interest in developing Vietsmak's menu
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese coffee
