RESPONSIBILITIES

Does your heart beat a little faster for our elderly citizens? Do you thrive when adapting support and care based on each care recipient's unique needs, wishes, and conditions? Is it a given for you to provide good and safe care? If you answer yes to these questions, you could be one of the assistant nurses we are looking for!

As two of our night care colleagues move on to new challenges, we are now looking for two new care colleagues for our elderly care facilities: Enbackagården in Gustafs and Skedvigården in St Skedvi.

In the role of an assistant nurse, you meet the individual physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of our care recipients. You assist with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, dressing and undressing, as well as end-of-life care. You also perform medical tasks delegated by the nurse. The responsibilities mean that you are our "eyes and ears" on site, observing small changes in the well-being of our elderly and reporting this to relevant colleagues. You document your efforts continuously during your shift and contribute to raising the quality of the facility by reporting any deviations concerning the care recipient.

All tasks are carried out in close collaboration with colleagues, visitors, and above all, with our elderly. Your direct manager is the unit manager at the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must have an assistant nurse education and a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Previous practical experience in care work and dementia care for the elderly is an advantage. You must be able to handle digital work tools such as computers and mobile phones, as all documentation of your work is done in these systems. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with the documentation system Combine (Pulsen), the time reporting system Medvind, as well as Teams and Outlook. Your Swedish language skills must be good to communicate effectively with your surroundings, understand written text, and document your work. A category B driver's license and access to your own car are required.

You should enjoy working with people and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships. You must also be skilled at documenting and reporting your work continuously. Delivering results and meeting the expectations of your care recipients is a given for you – both regarding quality and productivity. You never compromise on your professionalism and work in a systematic, methodical, and reliable manner. You easily identify the needs of our care recipients and achieve good work results. You follow instructions and decisions, while remaining flexible and open to changed conditions if the situation requires it.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.

Working hours are every night on weekdays and every other weekend, year-round. When submitting your application, you will be asked to answer questions about which position(s) you are applying for and when you wish to work.

Individual salary setting applies. The current salary range for our assistant nurses is approximately 27,000–33,000 SEK, depending on competence and professional experience, as well as the level of responsibility in the role.

The recruitment process is handled by the staffing unit of the social sector, but final candidates will be interviewed by the responsible unit manager at each facility at the end of August.
