Are you a student looking for an exciting part-time job? Do you have a technical interest and enjoy tinkering and hands-on work, but are also open to a role involving monitoring and machine operation? Then the position of Operator at Tekniska verken's biogas plant might be perfect for you!
About Tekniska verken
As an employee at Tekniska verken, you are a vital part of our vision – building the world's most resource-efficient region. To succeed, we must dare to think innovatively and develop new, smarter solutions. We have over 1,000 employees who thrive in a relaxed corporate culture, where our daily work is shaped by our core values: driving, positive, and credible. It is natural for us to embrace our employees' differences through an inclusive value base. We also believe it is important that our workplace reflects society, which is why we value gender balance and diversity.
We are currently seeking Operators for temporary staffing. Your workplace will be the Biogas Plant, where food waste and other organic raw materials are converted into biogas.
About the position
This is a part-time position, and we are primarily looking for students who want a part-time job alongside their studies. Start date is by agreement, but we prefer candidates who can start as early as week 31. After that, you will be offered work on an as-needed basis during the semesters.
Working hours vary. Day shifts are from 06:00 to 18:15, night shifts from 18:00 to 06:15, and Saturdays from 06:00 to 13:00.
You will work on-site at Tekniska verken's Biogas Plant in Linköping, but will be employed as a consultant via OnePartnerGroup.
Your responsibilities
The role involves operation and maintenance work at the pre-treatment plant. This includes monitoring production flows and ensuring processes run smoothly using the plant's data and monitoring systems. You will also perform service and repairs on machinery as needed. Operating a counterbalance forklift and a wheel loader may be required when feeding materials into production.
The plant operates 24/7, meaning you are expected to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. At this facility, you will work in pairs per shift, but with different partners at each work instance, which places high demands on responsibility and teamwork.
Who we are looking for
We prefer candidates with previous experience in operating production facilities and knowledge of process industry, although this is not a strict requirement. It is a plus if you have an interest and experience in tinkering and can perform some simple repairs. A Class B driver's license is required. Forklift license A+B is an advantage. Otherwise, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities, as the job requires high work ethic and teamwork skills. Attention to detail, strong social competence, and good communication skills are highly valued.
According to our collective agreement, you must be studying at least 50% to be considered for temporary employment with us. If you have another primary occupation, you are of course also welcome to apply.
