Your Role

We are looking for an engaged and driven Transport Manager who wants to continue developing and strengthening our capabilities regarding transport issues within Saab Dynamics. Here you will have a key role where you work closely with the business and contribute to creating conditions for efficient, safe, and regulation-compliant transports in a complex and international environment.

As a Transport Manager, you belong to the Staff Function Customs & Transport within Trade Compliance. The role has a clear strategic and tactical orientation where you work on developing working methods, supporting the business with complex transport issues, and ensuring that we meet both business and regulatory authority requirements.

This is a role for you who likes to take responsibility for an issue from idea to implementation. You will collaborate with many different parts of the business and act as a bridge between regulations, business needs, and operational reality. To succeed, you need to be comfortable with initiating contact, creating dialogue, and driving issues forward together with others.

Example of Tasks

• Participate in the development and implementation of the business area's processes, guidelines, and working methods within the transport area
• Monitor the development of regulations and regulatory requirements and translate these into business-adapted solutions
• Monitor contracts, permits, and certificates related to transport operations
• Participate in requirement specification, development, and follow-up of tools and IT support within the area
• Act as an expert support to the business in complex transport-related issues
• Prepare reports, analyses, and decision support materials and contribute to risk management work
• Conduct follow-ups, self-control checks, and internal training initiatives
• Collaborate closely with colleagues within Trade Compliance, logistics, freight forwarding, and other business functions

The Customs & Transport function is located in several places. The position is based in Karlskoga or Linköping, and travel between locations occurs regularly.

Your Profile

We believe you have worked for a few years in the transport area, preferably from a business where regulations and compliance are a natural part of everyday life. You have built up experience and have a good understanding of how transports are planned, controlled, and executed in a larger business. You do not need to come from the operational freight forwarding world, but you have experience with transport issues and understand the interplay between business, logistics, and regulations.

You are used to taking independent responsibility for your issues and thrive in a role where you get to combine analysis with collaboration with others. You see opportunities where others see obstacles and have the ability to find solutions within the existing frameworks.

As a person, you are communicative and have an easy time creating trust and building long-term relationships. You have good analytical skills, can make well-founded assessments, and enjoy driving development and improvement work forward. Furthermore, you have a relevant higher education or university degree, or equivalent experience acquired through working life. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. For us, your personal qualities are part of the overall assessment in this recruitment.

Experience with Trade Compliance or development work related to Transport Management Systems is meritorious.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
