The Technical Department is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and care of the municipality's parks, streets, and public spaces.

Within the department, we run an important activity for residents of Järfälla who receive financial assistance and need support to approach the labor market. As a Supervisor, you lead a team in daily work. You ensure that the municipality's outdoor environments are well-maintained and clean, while simultaneously using the work as a tool for participants to grow, build routines, and develop.

We are now looking for a Supervisor for a project employment until 2027-08-31, with an expected start date of September 1st this year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities include:

Operational management: Plan, structure, and lead the daily outdoor work in the field, which includes park maintenance, weed control, grass mowing, and litter picking.
Safety responsibility in the field: Ensure that current safety regulations are followed when working near traffic, including the setup and compliance with rules regarding Work on the Road (APV).
Supervision and coaching: Support, motivate, and instruct participants based on their individual prerequisites and abilities.
Quality assurance: Ensure that the work in the municipality's outdoor environments maintains high quality.
Collaboration: Maintain an ongoing dialogue with the Employment Unit regarding the participants' progression and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

Good knowledge of green area maintenance: Experience in practical park work, property maintenance, or similar outdoor work.
Safety competence: Certification or good knowledge of Work on the Road (APV).
Pedagogical experience: Experience leading or supervising groups, preferably people who have been outside the labor market for a long time or are in need of extra support.
Clear communication: You have the ability and patience to explain practical work tasks and safety routines in a simple and secure manner.
Requirements: Category B driver's license, Work on the Road 1.3.

Merits:

Machinery proficiency (e.g., brush cutter, ride-on mower), construction work, and education in gardening, social pedagogy, or other adequate post-secondary education.

To succeed in the role, you are a secure and stable adult with great patience, strong safety awareness, and high empathy. You have the ability to balance the demand for completed work with the finesse required in human interaction. You enjoy working outdoors in all weather and are skilled at creating a positive and secure team spirit.
