We are now looking for a Service Engineer based in Örnsköldsvik

You will be part of a team with colleagues responsible for the operations and operational quality of our own and our customers' facilities within the Service Group area of Upper Norrland.

The work involves, among other things:

• Configuration or troubleshooting of transmission networks within DWDM or radio link networks.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance on TV and radio antennas with associated transmission systems, as well as backup power systems including batteries and generators.
• Work with critical infrastructure such as the Rakel network.

The role is broad and exciting, offering great freedom under your own responsibility.

About you

The Field Unit Upper Norrland is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of technical equipment in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, as well as parts of Jämtland and Västernorrland. Working hours are primarily during the day, but the position involves work in other locations where overnight stays may be required. On-call duties and work during evenings/weekends may also occur.

We are looking for you who:

Are ambitious and have a genuine interest in technology and problem-solving. You are comfortable working with computers and have a basic technical understanding, as well as a curiosity to learn more about IP networks, mobile networks, TV and radio networks, as well as fiber and transmission networks.

Formal requirements:

• You hold a Category B driver's license.
• You pass the medical examination and training for mast work, as a mast certificate is a requirement for the position.
• For employment, a approved drug and alcohol test must be conducted, as well as a background check and security clearance with register control, as the position involves security classification. Consequently, Swedish or Nordic citizenship is also required.

It is meritorious if you have:

• A post-secondary education or several years of practical experience from similar tasks.
• Worked as an electrician and have your own certification or practical experience with installations and service on high- and low-voltage facilities. Practical knowledge of radio links and radio technology.
• Experience working at heights, as work in masts and towers is part of the tasks.
• Hold BE/CE driver's licenses and/or permits for quad bikes/snowmobiles.
