RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a specialist nurse aide primarily involves user-focused work within the operations, with a central role in maintaining and developing the quality of the service. The needs of the operation determine how much time is allocated to this assignment, usually around 25 percent of your position.

You are proactive in the educational work of the operation, possess good competence, a positive attitude, and ethical competence in interactions with both users and relatives. Your task, together with the unit manager and colleagues, is to drive and create an operation that is attractive and an obvious choice for users and employees. You should be able to guide your colleagues in pedagogical issues, the methods of the operation, and have a supervisory role regarding:

• Approach and treatment
• Documentation and implementation plans
• Care contact
• Planning and follow-up
• Specific care together with care and nursing staff
• Achievement of operational goals

These core competencies are linked to the role of specialist nurse aide:

• Team collaboration - Collaborate with other professions in daily work and participate in team meetings.
• Quality development - Participate in evaluations, provide improvement suggestions, and actively contribute to facilitating the implementation of new working methods. Be proactive in improvement work and support specific care matters.
• Safe care and nursing - Write deviation reports and follow current laws, including SoL (Act regarding Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and HSL (Health and Medical Services Act). Participate in discussions on how to reduce the risk of deviations recurring and drive change work to reduce risks. Guide colleagues in pedagogical issues and when creating documentation and implementation plans, as well as clarify what the role of permanent care contact entails.
• Digital tools and communication - Use and be able to guide others in the use of digital tools.

You will, together with other specialist nurse aides, be part of a network held together by the method developer for elderly care.

Planning of assignments takes place in collaboration between the specialist nurse aide, the responsible unit manager, and the method developer.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a nurse aide and have further education as a specialist nurse aide (200 yhp) with a focus on psychiatry or dementia. You have at least one year of experience working in elderly care and have a great interest in working for development within your specialist area.

You are sensitive and engaged in a way that creates opportunities and conditions for the users you meet. You are responsible and a clear communicator. You should have a good ability to see the big picture and context while also being able to take into account the needs of individuals. It is of great importance that you have good cooperation skills.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.
