Your responsibilities

You are responsible for developing the business with some of Ahlsell's most important customers within the public sector and Total Defense. The role combines strategic sales, business development, and project management where you drive long-term businesses together with customers and internal specialist functions.

You will among other things:

  • Develop and manage strategic customer relationships within the public sector and Total Defense
  • Drive and coordinate tenders, bidding processes, and businesses according to LOU (Public Procurement Act)
  • Ensure development and compliance within existing contracts and framework agreements
  • Identify new business opportunities based on customers' future needs and investments
  • Responsible for the entire business process – from strategy, procurement, and bidding to implementation, contract follow-up, and long-term business development
  • Lead and coordinate internal specialist functions such as logistics, purchasing, legal, and sustainability
  • Responsible for business planning, follow-up, and growth within your customer accounts

You become part of Ahlsell's Industry division and join a national KAM team with approximately ten experienced colleagues located around Sweden. The team is characterized by high competence, strong team spirit, and a non-hierarchical collaboration where people are happy to help each other and share their experiences. There is no star culture here – success is created together.

The location is flexible within Sweden, and you will be based at one of Ahlsell's offices. To create good conditions for customer meetings and travel, we would prefer that you are based in Stockholm, Mälardalen, or another major metropolitan area with good communications.

You will work with customers who have direct significance for society's function, readiness, and security. The businesses are not just about results, but also about delivery security, trust, and long-term partnerships.

Our expectations

We are looking for you who have experience in Key Account Management, strategic sales, or another business-driven role with responsibility for complex businesses and long-term customer relationships.

You have experience from the public sector or other regulated operations where structure, processes, and compliance are crucial. Experience in public procurement and a good understanding of LOU (Public Procurement Act) is an important prerequisite for success in the role.

We would prefer that you come from technical trade, industry, or another operation with complex B2B sales. Experience with authorities, socially critical operations, or defense-related organizations is meritorious.

As a person, you are business-minded, relationship-building, and confident in dialogue with decision-makers at different levels. You work in a structured manner, have a long-term perspective, and are motivated by building trust and developing businesses over time.
