About the School

Praktiska Gymnasiet in Växjö offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and fun training. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our school has 6 different national programs, and we also run the IM program. Currently, there are approximately 160 students at the school. We offer opportunities for students to become apprentices, meaning they are out on workplace-based learning (APL) for at least half of their apprenticeship time.

Your Assignment

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Business Studies teacher for our high school, with a special focus on Young Enterprise (UF). As our new Business Studies teacher, you will play an important role in inspiring and guiding our students through subjects such as business economics, entrepreneurship, and business development. We are looking for you who have a curious and innovative approach and want to help develop the education for future entrepreneurs.

The position is a permanent full-time position, starting August 10, 2026. You will teach and supervise our students and work together with other colleagues. We see you as an important and driving force to, with the students in focus and in collaboration with colleagues, develop both the program and the subject. In addition to vocational-specific tasks, you, like other teachers at the school, have tasks such as mentor, and together you and your colleagues coach the students both socially and academically through their three years at Praktiska Gymnasiet. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft, and we work in a Google environment through sharing digital documents, calendars, and plans.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher in trade, business economics, entrepreneurship, and business development. We place great importance on personal qualities. Even you who lack teacher certification have the opportunity to apply for the position. You and the school principal will jointly draw up a plan for how you can become certified in the shortest possible way. The duties include contact with business life as a large part of the students' study time consists of workplace-based learning (APL), and therefore good communication with employers is meritorious.

We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, and that you identify with our values and keywords. Our students long to go out into working life, and your biggest task is to lead them there!
