We are now looking for a Service and Repair Mechanic for Muskövarvet, a role for you with a technical interest, good aptitude for assembly, and a keen eye for detail. In this position, you will work with troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing the ship's hull-related functions. This involves everything from doors, hatches, and seals to various fixed installations that must fit correctly, tightly, and securely. It may concern fixed structures, fastenings, and functions within the hull.
The work is varied and practical, with a clear connection between mechanics, assembly, and inspection. You work closely with both colleagues and ships, often in confined spaces, and need to have a practical understanding of how things should function in reality.
Note:
Muskövarvet is a security-controlled workplace. This means you must be a Swedish citizen, have a clean criminal record, and pass a security clearance with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
ResponsibilitiesAs a Service and Repair Mechanic (Hull Mechanic), you are responsible for checking, adjusting, and ensuring the function and fit of the ship's hull-related components. You identify deviations during inspections and carry out necessary measures, such as adjustments, assembly, or simpler mechanical interventions. The work is often methodical and follows established routines, where quality and safety are crucial. The work also includes bolted connections, fastenings, and simpler mechanical measures, often in close collaboration with other professional roles at the shipyard.
An important part of the role is documentation. You are responsible for creating protocols, following up on inspections, and ensuring that completed work is documented correctly in the system and according to current routines.

Employment: Full-time
Working hours: Mon-Thu 7-16, Fri 7-13.30
