Support Section at Base Battalion F 21
The Support Section is now looking for a Firing Range Officer for a responsible, autonomous, and varied role. As a Firing Range Officer with us at the Support Section/Training and Firing Range Division, you are a key person enabling our combat units to train and conduct operations.
You will be part of a team of 7 people placed at the Support Section of Base Battalion F 21. Here, the section chief, battalion motor officer, coordinator for volunteer activities, and the unit's training and firing range division work together.
Main Responsibilities
As a Firing Range Officer, you are responsible for the training areas and shooting ranges at F 21, as well as the Junkö firing range. Together with the section chief, you will develop and drive the operations forward. You are expected to solve tasks independently and, within this framework, continuously work on multiple tasks simultaneously. You work in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines within your area of responsibility and towards set goals. As a Firing Range Officer, you are expected to be well-versed in military and civilian regulations and able to support various exercise leaders in planning and conducting exercises in both military and civilian terrain.
In addition to the main duties, other tasks and areas of responsibility may be included, such as vehicle or warehouse manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Specialist Officer, SO 6-7.
- Category B driver's license (manual transmission).
- Good computer skills.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Personal Attributes
You are a flexible and responsible person with good teamwork skills. You have an interest in both operational development and daily operations, as well as the ability to plan, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a structured manner. When sudden tasks arise, you have the ability to handle them calmly and with a solution-focused approach. You are trustworthy and someone colleagues turn to when they need support or advice. You also have good physical health and are accustomed to working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
MERITORIOUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Category C driver's license.
- Experience from troop training and live-fire exercises.
- Military operator permits for snowmobiles, bandvagns (tracked vehicles), wheel loaders, wheeled tractors, heavy trucks, and/or trailer dollies.
- Training and experience with other military vehicles and common weapon systems.
- Operator permit for chainsaw and/or brush cutter.

Other Information
Employment type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency.
Work hours: Full-time.
Duty station: Luleå, with placement at F 21.
Start date: As agreed.
Military position, SO 6-7.
The position may involve evening and weekend duty, as well as training and mentoring of junior officers.
