We are now looking for a Resource Assistant for Sternöskolan

Job Responsibilities:

We offer a varied role where you actively support and complement the teachers' instruction. Together with your colleagues, you create a positive and engaging school day with the students' best interests at the center. As part of the work team, you work closely with other staff members and maintain good cooperation with guardians. In your role, you will have special responsibility for students who need extra support, acting as a helping resource.

As part of the work team, you are responsible for:

• Creating and further developing a safe and stimulating environment that encourages and challenges students' development, influence, and learning.
• Building and maintaining good relationships with both students and their guardians to create a strong foundation for collaboration.
• Supporting and motivating students to achieve their goals by offering inspiration and guidance in their learning.

Your work is crucial in creating an inclusive and inspiring school environment where every student has the opportunity to develop.

Requirements for the position:

• Post-secondary education in pedagogy or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer.

Qualifications for the position:

• Knowledge and experience regarding neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) and low-arousal approaches are also desirable.

We are looking for someone who is responsible, confident, and clear in your professional role. You have a solution-oriented approach and good ability to create structure and overview in your work. You always have the student's best interest in focus and meet every individual with respect, understanding of their needs and circumstances. Good teamwork skills and trust in that children do the right thing if they can are important prerequisites for success in this role. We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position.

About the workplace:

Located on the scenic Hinseberget hill in central Karlshamn is Sternöskolan, a school for grades F-6. At Sternöskolan, we work from a relational perspective, meaning we always start from the students' needs and circumstances. Language-developing working methods permeate our teaching, and multilingualism is seen as a resource.
