TOGETHER WE ARE VINDeln
Our organization is shaped by our employees. It is the people who carry out assignments and deliver public benefit. Together we make a difference and create value for many. In the world we live in, all competence is needed, and everyone is important. We are therefore looking for a Business Manager for the Social Sector. Warmly welcome your application!
OUR OFFER
Choosing an employer is a big and important decision, and we want to make it easy for you to find the information you are looking for. Here you can read more about what we offer you: https://www.vindeln.se/tillsammans-ar-vi-vindeln/karriar (https://www.vindeln.se/tillsammans-ar-vi-vindeln/karriar)
YOUR NEW JOB
As a Business Manager, you have a key role in developing and leading the social work that creates value for people in our municipality. You are responsible for the business area of authority enforcement, open care, LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), and health care. The position is placed under the Sector Manager and is part of the sector's management group, which also includes a Development Strategist, MAR (Manager of Adult Care), and MAS (Manager of Social Care).
As a Business Manager, your task is to formulate strategic goals and activities together with the management group and to support the unit managers in their implementation. You give the unit managers the right conditions for success by supporting, challenging, and contributing to their development. In this way, they can grow in their leadership and carry out their assignments with high quality.
You are a key person in putting the sector's transition roadmap into practice and ensuring that managers and employees have good conditions to work systematically with quality development according to established routines.
You have overall responsibility for the development of the business area, employees, working environment, and budget. Together with your unit managers, you lead, develop, and follow up on the operations. You work to establish and develop good collaborations and promote good relationships both internally and externally.
Being a manager in a smaller municipality means short decision-making paths and great opportunities to influence – but also requirements that you can independently navigate between strategic issues and operational needs. You thrive in this variety and make wise trade-offs based on what is best for the operations.
YOUR COMPETENCE
We are looking for a secure and experienced leader with a genuine commitment to individual and family care, LSS, authority enforcement, and health care. You see the whole picture in social services' various assignments and have the ability to hold together complex operations with different assignments and legislations.
You have the ability to drive development work and see opportunities instead of obstacles. The assignment requires that you have clear visions for the future and work in a goal- and results-oriented manner. You are an example who motivates and inspires your employees to develop in their professional roles and in the organization. You have the ability to engage and enthusiasm and lead the operations in a present way in everyday life.
We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another academic background/education that the employer considers equivalent. It is meritorious to have experience of leading other managers, experience of authority enforcement within individual and family care, LSS, and health care, as well as experience of working in a politically governed organization.
REQUIREMENTS
- Category B driver's license
- Relevant university education
- For this position, you are required to present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register before employment.
YOUR NEW WORKPLACE
The Social Sector has the ambition to constantly develop and improve. As an employee, you have great opportunities to influence the operations and be involved in its development. We offer subsidized fitness and flexible working hours agreements. There is also the possibility of some remote work and work during commuting time if the tasks allow.
