About the role

Are you a registered nurse looking to work in a flexible, cross-functional role? There is now an opportunity to become part of Region Västernorrland’s new Staffing Center, based in Sollefteå, with assignments in both outpatient and inpatient care, and eventually primary care.

Region Västernorrland is establishing a new Staffing Center within the Unit for Production Support (EPS) – a long-term, region-wide initiative aimed at ensuring secure and high-quality staffing. The goal is to reduce vulnerability and create a sustainable staffing model that will gradually expand to include more operations. The Staffing Center consists of permanent nurses who, in this position, are based in Sollefteå and serve as a stable and flexible resource for healthcare in the Sollefteå area.

We are now seeking a nurse/primary healthcare nurse for the Staffing Center, based in Sollefteå. The position is a permanent full-time role, with a start date to be agreed upon. If you are currently transitioning jobs, we can adjust the start date accordingly. Base location: Sollefteå.

Responsibilities

The assignments cover both outpatient and inpatient care and will eventually include primary care and psychiatry. As a nurse in the Staffing Center, you will have a flexible and varied role where you contribute to various operations based on need. This role is ideal for those who wish to combine the security of a permanent employment with the opportunity to work in different environments and ways of working.

In the next phase, the role will also focus on primary care, where you will serve as a shared resource for health centers through healthcare advice, primarily via telephone and digital channels. You will assess care needs, provide self-care advice, refer patients to the appropriate level of care, and book appointments as needed – ensuring good accessibility, high patient safety, and that the right patient receives the right care at the right time. Parts of the work may be performed remotely within Sweden.

Responsibilities also include:

• Performing standard nursing tasks according to operational needs
• Working in various healthcare units within the framework of the Staffing Center
• Contributing to good quality, patient safety, and continuity of care

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is a registered nurse
• Has at least 4 years of professional experience as a nurse
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits include

• Education as a primary healthcare nurse (distriktssköterska)
• Professional experience within primary care
• Professional experience in healthcare advice
• Experience working in several different healthcare units
• Experience working as a locum nurse or in other flexible assignments
• Valid B-class driver’s license
• Experience with TeleQ, Cosmic, or other relevant systems
