As a Project Engineer at the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), you will contribute to a safe and stable railway system and the development of future railway maintenance. With your experience in project administration, you will be a welcome addition to the team responsible for maintaining the railway's power supply facilities in southern Sweden.
ResponsibilitiesTrafikverket's power supply facilities provide energy to the railway at voltage levels of 15–130 kV with a frequency of 16.3 Hz, as well as a 50 Hz auxiliary power network at voltage levels of 6–130 kV. The Project Team for Railway Power Supply (KFJ) in the South-Eastern region is responsible for the maintenance of these facilities in southern Sweden.
As a Project Engineer, you will assist the project manager and the team with a wide variety of tasks. You will be a key player in the team's work regarding progress and financial reporting.
The maintenance of the railway's power supply is part of Trafikverket's current development initiative, where new development platforms are being established to create conditions for increased learning and more efficient asset management. You will help pave the way for improvements. To thrive in this role, you need to be curious about technology and have a desire to develop.
QualificationsAs a Project Engineer, it is important to be collaborative, adaptable, and free from hierarchy, with the ability to find solutions that benefit all parties. You are proactive, independent, and have strong communication skills. You convey your message clearly, are receptive, and adapt your communication to the situation. You are confident in yourself and have the courage to voice your opinions.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a university or college degree of at least 180 ECTS credits (120 US credits) with a technical focus.
- Has at least a couple of years of relevant experience in project administration within railway maintenance.
- Has experience with contract law, including procurement and application of construction contracts.
- Is very proficient with computers.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
- Holds a valid driver's license for passenger cars.
Merits:

- Experience with railway power supply facilities and associated building technical challenges.
The project covers a large geographical area, which means that business travel is involved.
The employment is subject to a security check without placement in a security class. A passed result in the security check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585), is required for employment.
