About the restaurant

Lammet & Grisen is located in the sunny northern part of Öland and serves roast lamb and pork. The meat is carved by our chefs right in the restaurant, and guests choose their own sides from various side dishes. Of course, we also offer vegetarian and vegan options.

We offer a unique experience where experienced troubadours entertain guests every evening from opening until closing. On the roof, there is a lovely terrace with views over the Öland alvar, where our guests can enjoy a drink before or after their meal.

About the job

The restaurant is open in the evenings, generally from Monday to Saturday. We have a high guest flow with between 400–900 guests per evening, which means a fast and active work pace.

Your responsibilities

You prepare the restaurant for the evening by cleaning, wiping tables, and ensuring everything is ready for guests. You clear plates, cutlery, and glasses, keep the tables clean and tidy, and set them for the next seating. Everyone working in the dining hall is also responsible for washing and polishing all glasses. We work as a team where everyone helps each other out.

We are looking for someone who

To thrive with us, you must be organized, energetic, and have a cheerful attitude. You should enjoy working with people. We provide training, but previous experience in the restaurant or café industry is a plus.

Staff meals and community

Since our start in 1969, the shared time with delicious staff meals has been a given. Papa Bengan’s idea that "if you want to work well, you must eat well" still lives on. It is an important moment before the evening shift, where staff and owners sit together in a relaxed atmosphere. The chefs take turns creating delicious dishes from quality ingredients, focusing on variety, taste, and nutrition.

Accommodation

We offer accommodation at Nybygården, a former guesthouse consisting of the main house, the long wing, the courtyard house, Friggan, and a large garden with a volleyball court and outdoor seating. It is a true summer idyll! The beach at Nyby is only 2 km away, and Ica is 1 km away.
