We are looking for dedicated and responsible care staff for personal assistance under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments) for a position within Borlänge Municipality.

The assignment involves personal assistance for a child with a very extensive and complex care need. The intervention is approved under the LSS Act and aims to create a safe, secure, and stable daily life for the child based on their individual needs.

The work is performed in the child's home and takes place in close collaboration with the child's parents, responsible management, and relevant healthcare contacts. The child requires constant supervision and presence and must not be left alone, which means the role places high demands on responsibility, precision, and continuity.

The assignment is aimed at you who want to work closely with a child and their family, and who have the ability to contribute to safety, security, and good care in a home environment, in accordance with the approved LSS intervention.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

The work is staffed with double assistance for part of the day, based on the child's extensive need for supervision and care, and is performed in close collaboration with another personal assistant.

As a personal assistant, you are responsible for implementing the approved LSS intervention by meeting the child's daily care and medical needs.

The tasks include, among other things:

• Continuous supervision and monitoring
• Tube feeding
• Administration of medication via tube several times a day
• Mobilization and training programs
• Observation of the child's general condition and action in case of changes
• Following prescriptions, implementation plans, and established routines
• Documentation and reporting according to current guidelines
• Create a safe, calm, and secure environment for the child

The work requires high concentration, responsibility, and the ability to act correctly even in stressful situations.

Selection and interviews take place on an ongoing basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position:

• Nurse assistant or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.
• Category B driver's license

Personal qualities:

To succeed in the assignment, you need to be a secure and stable person who can build trusting relationships. You are clear in your communication, work in a structured manner, and have the ability to plan and organize your work independently. Furthermore, you have a calm and professional attitude even in situations that require flexibility and good judgment. Good teamwork skills and respect for working in the family's home.

Merit qualifications:

• Experience working with children with significant medical needs
• Experience with tube feeding
• Experience with Implementation Plans (EP)
• Experience with NPD (Neuropsychiatric Disabilities)
• Experience with low-affective handling
• Experience working in personal assistance

Salary: Monthly salary.
