Job Description

We are seeking an engaged and confident preschool teacher to work in our adapted primary school within subject areas. Here you will meet students with varying needs and have the opportunity to create a learning environment where every student is given the chance to develop based on their own strengths.

The responsibilities include:

• Planning teaching based on subject areas such as communication, motor skills, daily activities, aesthetic activities, and perception of reality,
• Conducting structured teaching adapted to each student's individual needs and abilities,
• Working with clear pedagogy and creating predictable learning environments,
• Documenting and following up on students' development in accordance with governing documents,
• Collaborating in an interdisciplinary team with student assistants, special needs educators, guardians, and student health services,
• Contributing to care and security in both teaching and daily routines,
• Developing pedagogical approaches that strengthen students' communication and independence.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed preschool teacher,
• Have experience working with structure, security, and clarity, and are accustomed to creating individualized structural support,
• Are confident in adapting teaching based on individual experiences,
• Have knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), PODD 12, and other communication aids,
• Have worked with students with physical limitations and are accustomed to using wheelchairs and other mobility aids,
• Have encountered students fed via PEG tubes, and
• Have the ability to collaborate closely with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Extensive knowledge regarding intellectual disability is a given, and it is an advantage if you have experience working with students with multiple diagnoses.
