Job Description

The role of study guide in mother tongue involves supporting students in their development and learning in close collaboration with other school staff. As a study guide, you base your work on the student's school background and their prior knowledge, both in their mother tongue and in the Swedish language.

The position includes some teaching in the mother tongue. You teach in your first language in the primary school subject "Mother Tongue" according to the national curriculum. You prepare, conduct, and evaluate the teaching and document the students' knowledge development. From grade 6, you grade the student according to the subject's knowledge requirements. As a teacher, you should actively work with the values-based work according to the national Curriculum.

Qualifications

We see that you:

• Have documented good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, corresponding to upper secondary level, and have documented good knowledge of the mother tongue.
• Master Arabic and Swedish in the school's various subjects and teaching situations.
• Have experience working with digital learning tools, which is a necessity to succeed in the role.

Meritorious qualifications include:

• Qualification as a mother tongue teacher in Arabic.
• Swedish teacher certification, but also other pedagogical (or otherwise relevant) education and experience working with children/young people.

Furthermore, you have good cooperation skills and are easy to create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You structure and organize the work with a starting point in the steering documents and analyze and document the students' abilities and knowledge.
