About the position

Personal assistance is a support measure under LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled People). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the customer with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the customer's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.

The customer is a cheerful 19-year-old woman living in Borlänge. She now needs more assistants for her team to experience new adventures and activities. The customer has an intellectual disability and some reduced muscle strength. Her interests include cooking, makeup, socializing with friends, and playing games.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the customer.

The position requires that you have:

• Previous experience in similar work

• Good knowledge of Swedish

• A valid B driver's license

The position is meritorious if you:

• Have education in healthcare and social care, e.g., assistant nurse or nurse

• Have previous experience with tube feeding

• Have previous experience working with patient transfers

• Have previous experience working with intellectual disabilities or ADHD

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment percentage of 82.5% with the possibility of more. Working hours are 08:00–20:00 and 20:00–08:00 with active time around the clock. You who apply must be able to work both day and night shifts according to the schedule. Weekend work occurs.

Fixed hourly wage as agreed, and other compensations are made according to the collective agreement.

Start date for the position is by agreement.
