Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
The Placement Unit consists of three groups, each with its own group leader, working with children and young people placed outside their own homes. Two of the groups work with children placed in foster homes, and each group consists of four child secretaries and three foster home secretaries. Additionally, there is a special foster home secretary responsible for recruiting foster homes. The third group, the Placement Group, works with children and young people placed in other care forms, such as residential care homes (HVB) and supported housing. The group consists of four social secretaries and one school coordinator.
Together, we shape a social services department that is based on what people need.
To get closer to our clients and build trust, we constantly improve the way we work. Do you want to be part of developing our operations to provide the best possible conditions for children and young people placed outside the home – apply to us!
We are now looking for a Child Case Manager for the Placement Unit.
What we offer
Here you will have the opportunity to develop and work together with engaged colleagues. You will receive regular case supervision from group leaders and managers who are close by. As support, there are also two method developers in the area. As a new employee, you will go through an established induction program that gives you good conditions to methodically get into the tasks and routines.
You can watch a short film here about what it is like to work with us.
Your role
As a Child Case Manager, you follow up on the care for children in foster homes. You build trusting relationships, have contact with parents and networks, and collaborate with foster home secretaries. The work is carried out according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). Travel is included in the position – primarily in Stockholm but also elsewhere in the country.
Your skills and experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- A degree in Social Work
- Experience working with authority enforcement regarding children and young people
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience working according to Signs of Safety

You are structured and ensure that your cases are handled in a timely manner and with quality. You are goal- and result-oriented with a clear focus on creating the best possible conditions for children and families. Furthermore, you are relationship-building and have the ability to build trust and good collaborations, both with clients and their networks. In addition, we value that you are collaborative and enjoy working closely with both colleagues and other partners to achieve common goals.
Other
Before employment becomes current, a background check will be requested.
In this recruitment process, you will be asked to answer a number of questions where you describe your competence in the area instead of sending a cover letter. In assessing your application, we will base our evaluation on your CV and your answers to the selection questions.
