DFDS Logistics Contracts AB in Gothenburg is a full-service terminal within contract logistics, located in Arendal with immediate access to Gothenburg's outer ports. The terminal's largest customer is AB Volvo. The operations consist of transshipment (so-called cross-docking), storage, repair, and cleaning of packaging.

About the role:

At the Sort & Wash department, we work with sorting, washing, and quality control of packaging. The work involves both manual and automated tasks, forklift driving, material supply to production, and quality controls.

As a Terminal Worker with team leader responsibilities, you assist the group manager by operationally prioritizing and distributing daily tasks to achieve set goals regarding safety, working environment, quality, and productivity. You engage, lead, and distribute tasks in daily operations as part of the team, actively working on employee engagement and driving improvement and quality work.

For this role, we see that you are driven and structured. You are interested in flows, efficiency, people, and development. You communicate in a direct and clear manner and have the ability to see the big picture without losing focus on important details.

Main responsibilities

• Prioritize and distribute the team's operational tasks on a daily basis.
• Introduce and train new employees in the team.
• Represent the team in meetings with other departments and promote effective collaboration.
• Ensure that agreed services are performed with quality and efficiency.
• Point out deviations in processes and provide improvement suggestions to the group manager.
• Report deficiencies in equipment and routines affecting safety to the group manager.
• Actively participate in the department's continuous improvement work and lead improvement initiatives.
• Work operationally and participate in common tasks for the team.
• Actively participate in the company's quality, safety, environmental, and working environment work.
• Stay updated on current agreements and terms with the customer.
• Administration in related systems.

We are looking for someone who has

• Completed upper secondary education.
• Experience in team leadership.
• Relevant experience within logistics and/or terminal operations.
• Counterbalance forklift license (A+B) and good forklift experience.
• Good administrative skills.
• Good IT skills, including the Office suite.
• Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

This is a permanent full-time position, starting with a six-month probation period. Working hours are currently scheduled Monday–Friday, 14:50–23:35.
