We are looking for an engaged textile craft teacher who wants to work with students in grades 3–9 at a pleasant and welcoming school in Gustavsberg.

About the job

You will work as a textile craft teacher for students in grades 3–9. The school is a calm and popular preschool–grade 9 school located in pleasant and functional premises with easy access to nature.

While a general plan exists, you will be expected to do some planning yourself. Students will learn various craft techniques to create functional and decorative items, such as tote bags, toiletry bags, clothing, or purses. The work often focuses on recycling, personal design, and understanding different materials and tools – from idea to finished product.

The position starts in August and runs for the entire school year, with the possibility of extension. The position is approximately 80%, and working hours are Monday to Friday.

Your profile

You have a strong interest in textiles and design. Previous experience working as a teacher is an advantage but not a requirement. Personal qualities and expertise in the field are highly valued. You are a natural leader, a good team player, and a role model. You are deeply committed to working with children and young people.
