Do you want to prepare delicious, nutritious meals in a kitchen where the entire dining experience is at the center? We are now looking for a cook for the Tomasgårdens elderly care home.

Tegnérhuset was built in 2021 and is connected to Tomasgården. The boundaries between the existing building and the new one are fluid.

In addition to the care home, there is also the preschool Vildvinet and the preparation kitchen. The kitchen is part of the meal service in Vetlanda Municipality and is located in the middle of the preschool, where we prepare meals for both the elderly care home and the preschool.

We work innovatively to reduce food waste, to have a creative menu, and an environment developed to be sustainable. An important part is also the collaboration between the kitchen staff and the staff at Tomasgårdens and Tegnérhusets elderly care homes as well as Vildvinets preschool.

Within the meal service, we prepare our meals from scratch. The menus are adapted to our target groups, whom we want to provide top-class service. For us, it is not just the food that is important, but the entire dining experience.

As a cook with us, you have a creative and artistic job where you plan, prepare, and cook varied and nutritious meals. To thrive with us, we believe you like to cook new dishes and try new flavor combinations. As a cook at Tomasgårdens, you will, in addition to cooking, also perform self-control, cleaning, and dishwashing.

You have good knowledge of both raw materials and the importance of hygiene routines. Your work also involves contact with children, parents, and diners. As a person, you are service-oriented and understand the importance of good treatment. You are used to working in a kitchen, thrive when the pace is high, and like to work independently and in a group.

The position is a permanent position at 85 percent, with the possibility of a higher degree of employment with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who are educated with a focus on restaurant and large-scale kitchen, upper secondary or post-secondary level.
• Experience of working in different kitchens and municipal operations is meritorious.
• You have a B driver's license.
• We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, Start date: 2026-08-16. Start date: August 16, or as agreed. Selection and interviews are held continuously.
Working hours: Daytime, weekends.
