About the Unit
Karlskrona Training and Firing Ranges belong to the Garrison Unit of the Naval Base, which supports the Naval Base Commander with expertise and execution in areas such as infrastructure coordination, expeditionary service, environment, working environment, operational safety regarding land, traffic, and sea safety, as well as operating and developing the garrison's training and firing ranges. Karlskrona Training and Firing Ranges are in an expansive operational phase and are a crucial enabling component for the Swedish Armed Forces' growth. Currently, the section is responsible for four archipelago firing ranges, six shooting ranges, and approximately thirty training fields.
Main Responsibilities
In your role as a Firing Range Officer, you will be part of the Karlskrona Training and Firing Ranges staff. The tasks are varied and broad, ranging from administration in a computer environment to collaboration and practical support in the field for units within the Swedish Armed Forces. As a Firing Range Officer, you should be helpful and provide good support to users, such as acting as the safety officer at the firing range monitoring center.

You have good social competence, are service-oriented, and flexible towards both internal and external stakeholders. You are meticulous, safety-conscious, and have high integrity. Having good physical fitness and being able to meet the Swedish Armed Forces' physical standards is fundamental to our operations. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment type: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probation period if you are not already employed within the Swedish Armed Forces.

The Naval Base's overarching task is to support the naval units with logistics such as transport, basing, guarding, and healthcare, both domestically and abroad. The Naval Base is headquartered in Karlskrona but operates where needed, for example in Berga/Muskö, south of Stockholm, and in Gothenburg.
