The Eye Clinic in Blekinge has approximately 60 employees across various professional categories. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an advanced, technical, and highly educational environment. We follow medical developments with the aim of providing our patients with good, safe, and high-quality care. The Eye Clinic operates in both Karlskrona and Karlshamn, while surgery and the eye center are located in Karlskrona. You will have great opportunities to help shape future healthcare, both in new facilities and through new processes.

We are now looking for new Specialty Training (ST) doctors for the Eye Clinic to secure our future competence supply. As an employee of Region Blekinge, you are offered a wellness allowance and access to a gym and other forms of exercise.

About the Job

The structure of the position is planned in consultation with your manager, study director, and supervisor. The content follows the goal description established to achieve specialist competence. You will work within various subspecialties such as glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, oculoplastic surgery, emergency clinic, surgical and medical retina, among others.

About You

We are looking for you who have a Swedish medical license and a strong interest in ophthalmology. If you also have previous experience in the field, we consider it an advantage. We are looking for you who have Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale.

You who apply have good communication skills, meaning that you convey knowledge and messages clearly and pedagogically. It is important to us that you have good teamwork skills and contribute to a good work climate. Personal suitability is given great weight.

Before Appointment

• Region Blekinge assigns all permanent staff to wartime duties.
• Some of our positions are security-classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
• Applicants who are considered for employment must provide a certificate of good conduct from the Police Authority before employment, form 442-9.
