We are now recruiting Lab Technicians for our Quality & Process Lab.

The Quality & Process Lab plays a vital role, responsible for daily environmental, process, metering, and quality control. We are responsible for both the pulp and board production at our facility in Gävle.

As a Lab Technician, you will have a dynamic and varied job where you will get to see and learn about large parts of the production process. This includes, for example:

• Sampling
• Measurements and analyses of emissions to air and water
• Analyses of chips, pulp, stock, and chemicals
• Calibration and control of measuring instruments
• Microbiological analyses for quality assurance of our products
• Close collaboration with the operations departments

The position covers two vacancies: one permanent and one fixed-term until May 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Science or technical education at least at the upper secondary level, or equivalent knowledge from laboratory work.
• Category B driver’s license, as car travel for sample collection may be part of the duties.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English.
• Good digital competence with the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with digital tools.

It is an advantage if you have studied to become a Lab Technician at a University College level (YH) or have previous experience in laboratory work and/or environmental control.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, analytical, and always prioritizes quality. You are service-oriented and thrive in both independent and team settings. Since this is a broad role where days may need to be rescheduled, flexibility is key.
