We are now looking for an engaged and analytical engineer for an exciting assignment at Borlänge Energi, where you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, societal development, and new legislation.

About the assignment

This is a consulting assignment via Bemannia starting on September 1, 2026, or as agreed. The assignment runs until January 31, 2027, with good opportunities for extension.

As an engineer at Borlänge Energi, you will become an important part of the work to meet new legal requirements within the municipal mandate for recycling and waste management. You will work on issues related to changed legislation and the consequences of the deregulation of municipal responsibility.

In the role, you will have the opportunity to delve into complex issues, analyze the company's registers, and contribute to the development of future working methods. You will work closely with colleagues in the analysis work, while also expected to drive and deepen investigations within your area of expertise.

In case of extension of the assignment

In the event of an extension, you will have a broad and varied role with both strategic and operational responsibilities within the waste facility's operations.

You will, among other things:

• Work with the development and planning of future operations
• Contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable operations
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and contractors
• Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with legislation and set goals
• Participate in and drive improvement and development work

Here you will have the opportunity to influence an operation that plays a central role in the circular transition and the sustainable society.

We are looking for someone who has

• A three-year university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent competence acquired through broad and deep professional experience
• A valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious

• Knowledge of IT and digitalization, as the operations are in a development phase where digital solutions are becoming increasingly important
