About the Job
Sydarkivera is a municipal association located in southern Sweden, with the primary mandate to serve as the archival authority for its member organizations. Additionally, Sydarkivera provides a shared service acting as a joint Data Protection Officer (DPO) for several municipalities and other organizations within the association's network. This service is delivered by a data protection team with expertise in law, information security, IT, and archives. The team maintains the DPO function for the organizations connected to the service and under agreement with Sydarkivera.
The overarching mandate of the data protection team, acting as DPOs, is advisory and supervisory. This primarily involves providing advice and support on various data protection matters, conducting data protection training, and monitoring compliance with data protection regulations among the connected organizations.
Your Main Responsibilities
You will become part of our data protection team. Your duties will include providing advice and support on data protection issues to our connected partners, planning and conducting network meetings, training sessions, and other events, as well as monitoring data protection compliance among our partners.
You will also have the opportunity to work on other issues that arise within the organization, such as information security, based on your knowledge and experience. As an employee at Sydarkivera, you will enjoy a varied and developmental role within a complex and diverse organization.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have an academic degree in law, computer and systems science, administration, or equivalent as assessed by Sydarkivera. You should have excellent knowledge of the data protection field and several years of practical experience working with data protection issues. Experience from the public sector is important, as Sydarkivera's operations are focused on municipalities and regions.
We want you to have experience in conducting training, both digitally and in person, and that you find this to be an stimulating task.
Knowledge of camera surveillance and the AI Act is considered an advantage.
As a member of the data protection team, you need to be self-reliant and confident in your role, but also network-oriented and receptive. We value a unified approach with joint work meetings and digital check-ins. You are expected to work independently while also having good skills in collaborating with others and communicating in a trustworthy manner. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.
You will interact with many different operations, so it is of utmost importance that you can express yourself well both orally and in writing, and collaborate in a professional and service-oriented manner. Travel for work occurs, for example, during training sessions, network meetings, and other arranged events.
Scope, Duration, Location, and Start Date
The positions are full-time and permanent. Probationary employment may apply.
The Municipal Association Sydarkivera has its main office in Alvesta, as well as smaller local offices throughout southern Sweden. Placement will be offered at one of our offices. There is an opportunity to work partially remotely.
We conduct interviews continuously during the recruitment phase. The successful candidate may be required to pass a security clearance. Start date by agreement.
