We are now looking for an interim manager for operational hydrography to the Swedish Maritime Administration.

About the assignment

The assignment starts on September 1, 2026, and lasts for 6 months with the possibility of several extensions. The assignment is full-time. The assignment requires an approved register check and cannot start before it is approved.

The Swedish Maritime Administration is in need of a consultant with the role of acting manager for operational hydrography to the business area Hydrography, Production. Operational Hydrography consists of 37 employees who work on ships. You will act as acting manager for Operational Hydrography with personnel and occupational health and safety responsibility for approximately half of the employees, as well as being able to lead the entire operation when needed. The consultant plans Operational Hydrography work together with the manager for Operational Hydrography and the manager for Hydrography Administration. You are part of the Production Group's management group and are led by the Production Manager.

Your responsibilities

• Hold employee meetings, salary negotiations, and coach employees.
• Personnel planning for ships together with the manager for Operational Hydrography and the manager for Hydrography Administration.
• Follow up on occupational health and safety rounds, risk analyses, and workplace meetings on the ships.
• Drive recruitment cases together with the manager for Operational Hydrography.
• Actively participate in the Production Management's work.
• Participate in the evaluation and development of the role as acting manager for Operational Hydrography.

Your qualifications

• Documented experience of leading a first-line group with full result responsibility, operational responsibility, and occupational health and safety responsibility.
• Experience of leading personnel remotely.

Meritorious

• Experience of being an interim manager for at least one year.
• Experience of leading personnel in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience of security-sensitive operations.
• Experience of maritime environments or sea-related work.
