Are you ready to work in a vital public service? To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the conditions to live as good a life as possible, there are the District Veterinarians. With 24/7 readiness, clinics across the country, and unique expertise in animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a safer life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of private individuals, companies, and authorities. We offer vital services for emergency animal care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. The District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
2 positions available.
We offer you a job with stimulating tasks and opportunities for both professional and personal development!
The role of veterinarian includes being on call to support our animal owners when they need it most. This also gives you the opportunity to develop within all our animal species, learn to work independently, and push the boundaries of what you believe you can achieve! Although you work independently on call, you are never alone – a colleague is just a phone call away, 24/7.
We are currently seeking 2 veterinarians with an interest in and experience from a varied practice involving cattle, horses, and small animals, with a particular focus on small animals. The small animal practice is constantly growing, and there are several veterinarians in the small animal clinic daily. In the field, usually 1 veterinarian works daily.
A Swedish veterinary license and a B-class driver's license are required. We believe in the future and know that it is our own work that shapes the clinic. We place great emphasis on good teamwork skills, loyalty to colleagues and employers, and personal suitability.
We see that you are service-oriented, have good judgment, and can work independently. You should not be afraid to ask for help, or to help others.
We warmly welcome your application!
We care about our staff. Therefore, we give all employees within the District Veterinarians the opportunity to take part in various benefits. Some examples are 28–35 days of vacation depending on your age, salary exchange, wellness allowance, and occupational health services. For parents, we have good conditions to find a good balance between work and family life; we offer, among other things, parental insurance supplement and the possibility to reduce your working hours until the child is twelve years old.
We strive for diversity among our employees. Our working language is Swedish, and our services require that you master Swedish in both speech and writing.
In connection with the recruitment process, the District Veterinarians have taken a stand on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore do not wish to be contacted by advertising sales or recruitment agencies.
At the District Veterinarians, we use e-recruitment through Offentliga Jobb to streamline and quality-assure the work with application documents. Once you have filled in your details, you can easily apply for other jobs without filling in the details again.
Thank you for applying through Offentliga Jobb!
