Organization Description

The Social Services Administration conducts statutory operations based on the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Services Act, and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Disabled Persons. The administration aims, on the basis of democracy, to promote people's economic and social security, equality in living conditions, and active participation in community life, as well as to provide good care, health and medical services, and support to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and others who need societal support.

The Social Services Administration consists of the Assistance Unit, the Care and Nursing Department, the Disability Support Department, the Home Care Department, as well as the Management Support Organization and the Health and Medical Services Organization.

We need to strengthen our team with one additional nurse.

Job Responsibilities

As a registered nurse, you are responsible for health and medical care interventions in the patient's own home. The role involves coordinating care around patients, where you are part of the team within the Health and Medical Services Organization, stationed at the Home Care unit. Currently, eight nurses, one coordinating nurse, and one assistant nurse work at the Home Care unit.

The nurses at the Home Care unit collaborate closely with the region's health centers and the palliative care advisory team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a few years of experience as a nurse, preferably with experience from municipal health and medical care. It is an advantage if you are a district nurse. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Under the National Minority Language Act, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.

A category B driver's license is required as the role involves some driving.

Working Hours and Duration

Permanent position, full-time. Probationary period may apply. Working hours are currently daytime with some weekend duty. Reduced working hours apply, meaning you work full-time for 35.20 hours per week.
