At Scandic, everyone works together to create a world-class guest experience throughout the guest's entire stay. As a Property Manager, you have significant responsibility for improving working methods and service as the external environment changes. We are convinced that it is when you are given the opportunity to develop and contribute with all your skills that we exceed guest expectations, and we also have a lot of fun at work!

So bring your experience, your engagement, and your way of thinking to us – and contribute to a culture where we truly care: about each other, our guests, and our planet. Welcome to Scandic!

What does the role of Property Manager entail?

As a Property Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the hotel is kept in good condition and is a safe and secure place for guests and employees. Scandic is the tenant and is operationally responsible for both the hotel's assets and the building. You work proactively with fire safety and security, managing both preventive and emergency maintenance, practically and administratively. Sustainability is a key word, and you actively work to integrate it further into our ways of working. The Property Manager reports to the Hotel Director and is part of the hotel's management and crisis group. You have personnel responsibility for building caretakers/technicians within Property Services.

Key responsibilities in the role

  • Ensure compliance with authority requirements, obligations in the lease agreement, and Scandic's concepts and standards.
  • Act as Scandic's contact point for technical issues and demarcation towards the landlord.
  • Create operational and maintenance plans, and plan and participate in the execution of daily operations and maintenance of the hotel.
  • Monitor consumption, report environmental data to authorities, Svanen™, etc.
  • Analyze and implement measures for optimizing the building's climate system, heating, and ventilation.
  • Budgeting and follow-up.
  • Systematic fire protection work, envelope protection, and overall safety and security work; train colleagues and new employees in the area.

Who are you?

Taking responsibility and drive are essential for this position, as well as structure and organizational skills. You motivate, guide, and participate actively in the practical work yourself. You have good collaboration skills and a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service.

The role requires experience in technical management and technical education at least at the upper secondary level. Interest in areas such as electricity, HVAC, or control and regulation technology is desirable. You must also have good knowledge of fire safety, AFF definitions, and regulations within real estate. If you have facility management training for fire alarms & sprinklers and a certificate in Hot Work, it is an advantage. Otherwise, we expect you to have good computer skills and proficiency in Swedish and English.
