Production Engineer

To Smurfit Westrock's Quality and Process Development department, we are looking for a Production Engineer with expertise in chemicals.

As a Production Engineer, you will work with the company's routines regarding chemical handling. You will be part of the chemical group and carry out projects and training initiatives for employees.

You will work across job boundaries and contact various roles within and outside the company to coordinate and monitor current chemical legislation. You will also conduct investigations, prepare for and assist with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and deviation management.

The department is responsible for coordinating and planning internal and external audits for the management systems ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001, where you will play a key role.

Work environment and safety are core values in our operations and permeate all our work, so these issues are also part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have at least 3 years of university education in chemistry.

To succeed in the role, we believe you are self-reliant and structured. You have the ability to handle several parallel tasks, are curious, and want to develop in new areas.

It is meritorious if you have a few years of relevant work experience, preferably in production or process industry, ideally with experience in pulp/paper technology.

It is an advantage if you have worked with ISO management systems and chemical legislation. As we are an international corporation, good knowledge of both Swedish and English is required.

As a person, you are communicative and thrive in collaboration. You are driven to achieve set goals, are proactive, flexible in the face of change, and take independent responsibility for solving tasks.
