Do you want a thrilling, varied, and challenging job? We are now looking for a school psychologist on a full-time basis. The work is directed towards the comprehensive school grades F-9. The employment is within the central Student Health Unit of the Preschool and Primary School Administration, which includes approximately 30 employees from various professional groups such as special needs educators, school counselors, school psychologists, school nurses, and school doctors. The operations are conducted partly at the Student Health Unit in central Mora, in the same building as the Mora Family Center, and partly in the operations at our preschools and primary schools, as well as to some extent at the upper secondary school, as they purchase certain services from us. Currently, we have one school psychologist employed.

We offer you collegial support, including in the form of professional meetings with an experienced colleague, as well as external supervision together with a colleague. You work daytime, weekdays, and have the opportunity to influence your working hours within certain frameworks. Some administrative tasks can be performed remotely in agreement with your manager. You receive a wellness allowance of 1,200 SEK/year.

Responsibilities

The psychologist in the school plays an important role in the student health service's health-promoting and preventive mission, working to support students' development towards educational goals and to promote their mental health. The school psychologists in the central Student Health Unit work with a focus on organizational, group, and individual levels. The assignments include, among other things, being part of the schools' student health teams (EHT) and the Student Health Unit's resource team, where your competence complements other professional groups. You will provide consultation and supervision individually or in groups to school staff, as well as conduct assessments and evaluations. As a school psychologist, you should contribute to the whole within student health through your professional competence and profession.

Qualifications

You must have a psychology education. Experience from the profession and from working within school operations is meritorious. You must have the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, principals, school staff, colleagues, and external actors, as collaboration is a large part of the work. You should contribute to the student health service's work with your professional competence and have the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. You are communicative, with a customer- and citizen-oriented attitude. You can also structure your own work and have the ability to work independently, where you control your own agenda and take responsibility for ensuring your tasks are completed. You are flexible, have a positive approach, are solution-focused, and development-oriented. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
