On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking an IT Project Manager for a major transformation initiative in a complex and security-critical environment. Here, you will take on a central role in a long-term change journey where the initial focus is on analysis, structure, and planning to drive a gradual transition to a new IT environment.

This is not a traditional project with clearly defined boundaries from the start. You will be entering an initiative with multiple parallel work streams, many dependencies, and evolving prerequisites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating structure in complex contexts and can combine strategic thinking with operational execution.

This is a direct hire position, meaning the recruitment process is managed by Futuria People, but you will be employed directly by the client. All questions regarding the role and recruitment should be directed to the responsible recruitment consultant at Futuria.

About the Role

In this role, you will take overall responsibility for a large transformation initiative, working closely with architects, technical teams, and other key stakeholders. You will play a vital part in creating structure, coordinating activities, and ensuring that work progresses according to set goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a large IT initiative with multiple parallel work streams.
• Conduct analyses and create structure for upcoming transformation and transition.
• Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and priorities.
• Coordinate work between technical teams, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure progress in an environment where prerequisites are constantly changing.
• Contribute to planning, steering, and monitoring throughout the entire change journey.

We are looking for someone who

• Has at least 10 years of experience leading complex IT projects or major change initiatives.
• Is experienced in working with multiple parallel work streams and numerous stakeholders.
• Has sufficient technical understanding to engage in dialogue with architects and technical teams.
• Communicates fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

As a person, you are driven, pragmatic, and structured. You are confident in making decisions even when not all answers are available, and you have the ability to build trust in complex environments.

We view previous experience with transformations, migrations, or other major transitions between IT environments very positively.
