We are looking for a Physiotherapist for Youth and Adult Rehabilitation

Habiliteringscentrum (the Rehabilitation Centre) is a basic unit comprising child and youth rehabilitation, special support, rehabilitation for adults, visual rehabilitation, and hearing rehabilitation. The operations provide counseling and other personal support in accordance with the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), as well as rehabilitation and habilitation for children, young people, and adults with permanent disabilities.

Habiliteringscentrum is a county-wide operation with approximately 170 employees based in Lycksele, Skellefteå, and Umeå. The mission of the operations is to contribute to good health and the best possible functional capacity, as well as good conditions for an independent life and active participation in community life for the children, young people, and adults we meet.

About the Position

We are seeking a physiotherapist for the youth and adult rehabilitation department to work with young people and adults with significant and/or permanent disabilities, primarily in the form of autism and/or intellectual disability. We provide habilitation in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act. The work team includes a social worker, psychologist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and speech therapist.

Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. Your most important task is to demonstrate the connection between movement and health and how movement can contribute to an active and balanced life.

As a physiotherapist, you work from a health-oriented perspective. You assess motor ability and provide treatment and counseling based on the user's difficulties and individual conditions. The work takes place in a team, and planning is done in collaboration with young people, parents, and networks. Interventions can be provided both individually and in groups.

The role also includes testing mobility aids, orthoses, and other support measures, as well as collaboration with specialist healthcare. You also provide advice and information to parents/networks and perform the prescription of assistive devices.

You contribute your specific competence to the team's work and are responsible for individual planning for users in collaboration with other staff. You are also expected to participate in the planning and implementation of training and group activities for users, relatives, and networks. We also participate in quality registers such as CPUP.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and have good knowledge of significant and permanent disabilities and the consequences this can have on a person's life. You also have experience working with lifestyle changes, and we would appreciate if you have competence in counseling methods.

You have a good ability to work in a team as well as independently. You have good skills in collaboration, creating networks, and independently planning your work. Experience with the CPUP quality register is an advantage.

The position involves travel in Umeå and its surrounding municipalities, which means you need to have a driver's license.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
