About the Department

Regional Healthcare Somatic coordinates the regional care for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven regional healthcare units. These units operate at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as several clinics located in various towns across the county. The area employs approximately 2,400 people.

The Provincial Eye Department, part of Regional Healthcare Somatic, provides specialized eye care for the county's residents. We have full clinic operations in three locations in the county: Sollefteå, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik. We also have a limited clinic operation in Härnösand. Our mission is to investigate, treat, and operate on diseases of and around the eye. In total, we have just under 100 employees in the county, where various professional categories work closely together with the patient at the center. The eye clinic in Örnsköldsvik consists of a cheerful team from different professional backgrounds working together for the patient's benefit. We are happy to share our respective expertise and ensure we lift each other up. No question is too silly. We are now looking for a Specialist Training Doctor (ST-läkare) for the eye clinic in Örnsköldsvik. The position is a permanent full-time role with a start date to be agreed upon.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a licensed physician for specialist training (ST) who wishes to join our team and be part of the continued development of our operations in Örnsköldsvik. You will receive a structured training program with a focus on practical clinical knowledge. As an ST-doctor at the eye clinic in Örnsköldsvik, you will have a varied job with pleasant colleagues. Working hours are Monday–Friday. Evening and weekend on-call duties are rotated between Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, and Sollefteå. Day on-call duties are Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed physician
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Has previous specialist training (ST) in Ophthalmology equivalent to the first year (basår)
