ValueOne is looking for a Purchasing Specialist for the manufacturing industry for an interim consultancy assignment with a client in Nyköping. The assignment covers the role of Purchasing Specialist, starts as agreed, and initially runs for 6 months, with the ambition to transition into a permanent employment with the client after the assignment ends.

About the Role

As a Purchasing Specialist, you play a central role in securing material availability for production and contributing to a stable and efficient supply chain in a company undergoing an expansive scaling phase. The role is broad and operationally driven, with responsibility for the daily purchasing flow within an assigned supplier and material area.

• Responsible for daily operational purchasing within an assigned supplier portfolio
• Ensure materials are ordered on time and available for production
• Monitor and improve ordering parameters, inventory levels, and replenishment flows
• Follow up on order confirmations, deliveries, delivery delays, and deviations
• Proactively identify and resolve material shortages and delivery risks
• Ensure correct purchasing and supplier data in Excel and Microsoft Dynamics
• Maintain close dialogue with suppliers regarding delivery precision, deviations, and corrective actions
• Collaborate closely with production, sourcing, quality, R&D, and other supply chain functions
• Follow up and evaluate supplier performance, escalating risks when necessary
• Handle commercial issues and simpler renegotiations, including MOQ, prices, freight costs, and packaging costs
• Contribute to improved working methods and more efficient purchasing processes
• Support the organization in a ramp-up phase where processes, flows, and system support are developed in parallel with daily operations

Experience and Competence

We are looking for you with at least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably from the manufacturing industry or production-related operations, as well as good knowledge of Excel and experience with ERP or warehouse systems – experience with Microsoft Dynamics, especially as a super user or in connection with implementation, is highly advantageous. Very good English and Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement.

You are structured, solution-oriented, and operationally driven, with the ability to act proactively at a high pace. You thrive as a clear communicator and a team player without ego in a smaller organization where you work closely with production and operations.
