Job Responsibilities

Are you the occupational therapist who wants to make a real difference for people with cognitive illness?

We are looking for you who are a confident, engaged, and driven occupational therapist with a special interest in cognitive illnesses and person-centered rehabilitation. With us, you have the opportunity to work with a holistic perspective where your competence makes a big difference in people's daily lives and quality of life.

In the role, you work broadly within the organization and become an important part of the development of high-quality and individualized interventions for people with cognitive illness. You contribute with your expertise in assessment, planning, and implementation of rehabilitative interventions, and serve as support and a knowledge resource for both colleagues and operations.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Conducting assessments as a basis for authority investigations.
• Collaborating closely with nursing assistants in the Special Team and the dementia nurse.
• Cooperating with the relatives' center and day activities.
• Trial and prescribe assistive devices, as well as train activity and participation.
• Supervise and instruct care staff.
• Participate in BPSD assessments together with home care and care and nursing homes.
• Cooperate with the memory clinic and health centers.
• Contribute to the development of operations by keeping up with research and new working methods in the field.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed occupational therapist and want to work from a professional, ethical, and person-centered approach.
• Have the ability to plan and structure your work independently while thriving in cross-professional collaborations.
• Are confident in your professional role, responsible, and have an easy time building good relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
• Work in a motivating and solution-focused manner and feel comfortable collaborating with various actors.

Requirements and Merits:

• Licensed occupational therapist.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Category B driver's license.
• Experience in the profession, preferably within municipal healthcare.
