As a nursing assistant at a special housing facility, you work together with your colleagues to provide care adapted to the individual. We support our care recipients with personal care, daily rehabilitation, and social activation to provide a meaningful everyday life.

You follow basic hygiene routines, wear work clothes, and have a respectful and professional attitude towards both care recipients, colleagues, relatives, and other people we meet in our work.

Here is what you will be working with:

• Help with personal care, for example showering, hygiene, dressing, and toilet visits, as well as support during meals
• Work according to person-centered care where you adapt support to the individual's unique needs and wishes
• The role includes administering medication, which means you need to receive delegation from licensed personnel
• Support with daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, and minor shopping in the local area
• Participate in social activities, provide support and guidance
• Document and stay updated in digital systems
• Write clear records, document according to guidelines, and draw up and follow implementation plans to ensure good quality and safe care
• Collaborate with colleagues, unit managers, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, as well as interact with relatives
• Follow the workplace's routines and guidelines
• Be a contact person or permanent care contact and together with the individual plan how the interventions should be carried out

Who are you?

You who are applying are a trained nursing assistant. You have good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish, both in reading, speaking, and writing. We would like you to have experience from care work, but it is not a requirement.

• Before employment, you need to show a passport/national ID. If you have citizenship from a country outside the EU/EEA, you also need to show your work permit. This is so that we can secure your identity and your right to work in Sweden.
• Before an employment at the care administration, we want you to present a valid criminal record extract. You can already order one from the police to speed up the recruitment process. Order the extract called Work in the home with elderly people and people with disabilities.
• We conduct language tests for services within the elderly care, so you may need to take a test before a possible employment.
• To be employed as a nursing assistant with us, you need to show proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate from the employer about permanent employment as a nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023. Attach this to your application.

About us

Within the care administration, we provide care, support, and assistance to people who are elderly, have a disability, or need home healthcare. We also offer health-promoting measures and support to people who care for and support a relative. Our goal is that those who need care and assistance in their everyday life should be able to live an independent life as far as possible.

Solgården is a senior housing facility with a total of 39 apartments, distributed over four units.

Two of the units are dementia-oriented, the others are somatic-oriented. Solgården is located in the beautiful nature of Hästveda.

The facility is Star-Rated, which means that we work person-centered to provide good care and assistance.
