We are a municipally owned company with approximately 300 employees. Our units are organized into business areas: Power and Heat, Electricity Grid and City Network, Water Services, Recycling, and Urban Environment. Our support functions consist of HR, Business Development, Marketing, and Finance. Together, we work to achieve the company's goals. By leading the way, inspiring, and creating conditions, we can work together with residents and businesses to make a difference for a more sustainable Borlänge. Our employees are a major part of our success, and at Borlänge Energi, the work environment is a priority. It is a company to grow with, where you have the opportunity to develop. We offer a secure workplace with good employment conditions and benefits. Our core values are respect, commitment, and sustainability.
Do you want to work close to operations and make a real difference in environmental and sustainability matters? Do you thrive in a technical environment where you can combine analysis, collaboration, and development? Then this role might be for you.
We are in an exciting phase of development and are now looking for an engaged and driven Environmental Engineer who wants to be part of the sustainability team at Borlänge Energi. The role is broad, and you will work across the entire organization, but a significant part of your day will be dedicated to ensuring that our power and heat production is conducted and developed in an environmentally and climate-sustainable manner.
You will become an important part of our team, responsible for environmental and climate reporting, monitoring, and compliance with environmental legislation. You will coordinate permit issues, handle environmental supervision, and drive improvement work within the environmental and energy sectors.
We offer a role with many contact points, both internally and externally, where you collaborate closely with the operations organization, authorities, and external control bodies. This role suits you if you enjoy combining technical understanding with a commitment to sustainability and thrive in an environment where development and initiative are appreciated.
We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree in energy technology, environmental science, or a related field, along with a few years of experience working in the environmental or energy sector. You have knowledge of environmental legislation and reporting and enjoy working in a structured and analytical manner. Furthermore, you have strong communication skills and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Experience with data-driven monitoring and good Excel skills are also valuable for the role.
Here, you will become part of a positive and committed team with high ambitions. There are great opportunities to influence, develop, and contribute to a more sustainable society. We offer flexible working hours, good employment conditions, and a workplace where collaboration and well-being are in focus.
