The Role and Responsibilities

As a leading chef, you are an important part of the daily life in the kitchen. You lead and distribute the daily work in the kitchen, ensure quality assurance and develop production, ensure that the budget and results follow set goals, and develop the meal service at the unit with the support of a centrally employed nutrition strategist.

Together with other colleagues, you contribute to providing a welcoming and pleasant meal for every child and student. You prepare nutritious, safe, and delicious meals of high quality according to Botkyrka Municipality's objectives. Your duties include working according to the unit's self-control program and following the municipality's objectives and the unit's established goals, guidelines, and policies. Your tasks as a chef include preparing special diets and adapted meals, placing orders for food and other products, and performing other common tasks in a large kitchen depending on the size of the kitchen, such as salad preparation, setting up and serving meals, receiving and unpacking goods, washing dishes, and keeping the kitchen premises clean and in good order. You wish to develop your competence by staying informed within your profession and participating in various training initiatives offered by the employer. As needed, you participate in parent meetings and, for example, inform about which meals are offered and how the work proceeds in the kitchen.

You Who Apply to Us

Requirements: education, experience, knowledge

• Chef education or validated as a chef.
• Experience in meal production in large kitchens and leadership.
• Documented education and experience in food hygiene and self-control.
• Good knowledge of and experience with working with special diets and adapted meals, such as vegetarian cooking.
• Good digital skills.
• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
