Assessment Officer for Social Services in Hedemora

The Assistance Unit of the Social Services Administration in Hedemora is now seeking an engaged Assessment Officer to work with authority decisions according to the Social Services Act (SOL). This is a permanent full-time position.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out investigative work.
• Making individual assessments.
• Making decisions on interventions.
• Following up on decisions with the individual.

You will actively contribute to the development of the Assistance Unit and a good work climate. Our workplace is characterized by proximity to management and colleagues, where we support and learn from each other to become increasingly professional in our practice.

You will also work in close collaboration with other actors and units, such as Dalarna Region, primary and closed care, psychiatry, and other units within the administration.

Qualifications and Merits

Requirements for this position include:

• A degree in social work, social care, or equivalent education as assessed by the employer.
• Good knowledge of legislation, regulations, and directives in the field.
• Good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish, as the work involves significant documentation and communication.
• A valid driver's license (Category B) for manual vehicles.

Previous experience in assessment work or other types of authority decision-making is considered an advantage.
