An exciting opportunity for you who are educated in physics, e.g., Master of Science in Engineering Physics, Nuclear Physics, Medical Physics, or similar. This position is ideal for you who are methodical, structured, and capable of working independently.

The position is located outside Oskarshamn. Commuting weekly is highly feasible – we will assist you with all practical arrangements!

The Role

This role suits you if you are interested in radiation, physics, laboratory work, analysis, and want to contribute to meaningful and impactful work. In this position, you are expected to structure and plan the initiation of practical measurement tasks, including how they should be conducted, how samples are to be processed, and documentation.

Requirements

Education: Medical Physics or an Engineering degree with a focus on Physics/Engineering Physics, or another education deemed equivalent. Several years of higher education are required.

Experience: Previous experience in nuclear technology and knowledge of how a facility looks/functions is preferred. If you lack this specific experience, you should have several years of experience in other work with comparable tasks. We are looking for someone with documented experience in laboratory work, or at least a solid understanding of how such work operates, along with experience demonstrating the ability to structure, see the big picture, drive projects forward, and make independent decisions. Knowledge of radiological radiation from education and/or practical experience is a plus.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for a calm, confident, engaged, and driven individual. You are communicative, methodical, and structured without getting lost in details. Driving work forward is important, as is the desire to work on-site. The role requires the ability to work independently and oversee projects, while also consulting colleagues and working cross-functionally for the best results. You are fluent in both Swedish and English and thrive with a significant amount of documentation work.

• Due to the nature of the work, you will need to be on-site for the majority of the time, although flexibility for weekly commuting is available.
