On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an interim Project Manager / Group Manager for a consulting assignment in Stockholm. The assignment is full-time and is expected to start in July 2026 and run until September 30, 2027.

About the Assignment

As Project Manager / Group Manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, resources, economics, and results within your area of responsibility. You lead and develop a group consisting of both employees and consultants, ensuring that the program's and project's goals are achieved according to established plans.

The role involves acting as a strategic and operational link between management and project operations. You are responsible for preparing decision support materials, implementing decisions in practice, and ensuring that projects and programs are driven effectively towards set goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, steer, and develop the group's operations with full personnel and work environment responsibility.
  • Ensure the right competence supply, staffing, and organization within the project and program portfolio.
  • Responsible for economic planning, budget, forecasts, and results.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, deliveries, and goal achievement.
  • Prepare decision support materials for management and governing bodies.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and strategic issues that may affect the program's implementation.
  • Initiate and drive decision and information matters to relevant decision-making bodies.
  • Make business decisions within the framework of current mandates and decision-making procedures.
  • Ensure that steering, monitoring, and reporting are carried out according to established processes.

Employment type: Employed by Devotum, as the client does not approve subcontractors in this process.

About You

We are looking for you who meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Civil Engineer, University Engineer, or University College degree in a relevant field, e.g., Civil Engineering, Road and Water Construction, Building Technology, Project Management.
  • At least 9 years of documented work experience from supplier or client organizations within civil construction or industry, with responsibility for leading larger projects or operations in a managerial role.
  • At least 9 years of work experience from working in a design organization in infrastructure/construction projects in a role such as designer, design manager, project leader, or equivalent.
  • At least 9 years of work experience from working with prerequisites/planning for/during design work regarding complex construction projects.
  • Previous experience of working in projects/assignments with at least three stakeholders.
  • Work experience from at least 3 track, railway, or larger infrastructure projects.

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Experience of having worked with the project methodology XLPM (formerly PROPS) or equivalent methodology in at least one project/assignment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in public operations and politically governed organizations.
  • Completed at least one leadership training with documented results.
