We are looking for a Project Manager for a government agency within the transport sector.

This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

We are seeking an interim Project Manager (Group Manager) responsible for the leadership, control, and follow-up of a comprehensive program within rail-based public transport and societal infrastructure. The assignment is in the planning phase and involves collaboration with multiple projects, consultants, authorities, and external stakeholders. The role entails responsibility for personnel, working environment, budget, and results, as well as responsibility for the program's organization, staffing, deliverables, and strategic development. You will be part of the management group and serve as a key link between the program operations and the section's leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, control, and follow up on programs and projects within the portfolio.
• Be responsible for organization, staffing, deliverables, as well as economic planning, budget, and results.
• Ensure that goals, results, and key indicators are achieved and maintained.
• Prepare decision support materials and implement control decisions on behalf of the Section Manager.
• Be responsible for personnel, working environment, safety, and environmental issues within the group.
• Report progress and follow up on operations against set goals.
• Make business decisions according to the decision-making order and delegated mandate.
• Identify, initiate, and drive decision and information matters that affect programs and projects.
• Participate in management group work and contribute to the development of operations.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• Civil Engineer, University Engineer, or University College degree in a relevant field, e.g., Civil Engineering, Road and Water Construction, Building Technology, Project Management (minimum 2 years of university studies).
• At least 9 years of documented work experience from supplier or client organizations within civil engineering or industry, with responsibility for leading larger projects or operations in a managerial/leadership role.
• The consultant must have at least 9 years of work experience from working in a design organization in infrastructure/construction projects in a role such as designer, design manager, project manager, or equivalent.
• The consultant must have at least 9 years of work experience from working with prerequisites/planning for/during the design work of complex construction projects.
• The consultant must have worked in projects/assignments with at least three stakeholders.
• The consultant must have work experience from at least 3 rail, railway, or larger infrastructure projects.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious

• Experience of having worked with the project methodology XLPM (formerly PROPS) or equivalent methodology in at least one project/assignment.
• At least 3 years of experience in public operations and politically governed organizations.
• Completed at least one leadership training course with documented results.
