Dietitian for Temporary Position at Pediatric Clinic, Nyköping Hospital

Our colleague is on part-time parental leave. Therefore, we are looking for a temporary dietitian specializing in pediatrics. You will work with children with various diagnoses, including diabetes, malnutrition, and food allergies. The temporary position runs for the remainder of 2026. We are a dietitian team with strong commitment and a curious, forward-looking attitude with a "high ceiling" (open and supportive culture).

Your Responsibilities

As a dietitian, you will develop and design nutritional routines, nutritional assessments, patient and parent consultations, collaborate with and train healthcare staff, and be an important part of the team at the pediatric clinic.

You will be based and have your treatment room in Nyköping, where 10 other dietists work alongside you. There is always the opportunity to receive support from colleagues on-site, as several colleagues have extensive experience working in various roles.

You will also collaborate closely with dietitians in the region, primary care, and specialist care. Therefore, there is always someone available for you to discuss matters with, both within and outside your treatment/diagnostic area.

About Us

Primary care and specialist care dietitians in Sörmland are organized in a dietitian organization - The Dietitian Unit - which belongs to the county clinic Paramedicin Sörmland. Paramedicin consists of 280 employees.

The primary care unit and the specialist care units each have their own dietitian manager (3 managers in total) with close collaboration, making us a strong dietitian organization.

Details of Your Tasks

You are based at the Dietitian Unit, where you have your workplace together with other dietitian colleagues. You will work together with the pediatric clinic at Nyköping Hospital, where there are several teams with doctors, nurses, and other paramedical staff who have regular meetings 1-4 times/month.

Lectures for healthcare staff are held. Contact with the patient and their family occurs through clinic visits, sometimes combined with other healthcare providers, via video, and by phone.

Based on the child's diagnosis, nutritional value calculations, energy requirement assessments, carbohydrate counting, weight and height measurements, and dietary history are conducted. Prescription of dietary supplements is done via the prescription portal Mediq.

You are part of Region Sörmland's network for pediatric dietitians, which meets regularly and collaborates on routines and materials. There are good opportunities to support each other and raise questions from a pediatric dietitian perspective. We are also part of larger networks in Central Sweden with annual meetings.

Your Competence

You are a licensed dietitian.

The position suits you if you enjoy varied tasks and can keep track of many things simultaneously. Your contribution is important for good and safe patient care, which is why we want you to appreciate working with structure as there are many balls in the air. You are good at collaborating, which is important as you will work in teams, but you are also comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
