Information about the position

As a preparator, you work on developing technical solutions for new construction, reinvestments, and maintenance of electricity distribution networks. The role involves broad responsibility where technology, economics, documentation, and coordination meet in everyday work.

You will have many contact points and collaborate with landowners, customers, authorities, contractors, and internal project organizations. The work involves both office tasks and field visits to create the right conditions for upcoming projects.

You will be employed through Sodajo Consulting and work as a consultant for our client.

Responsibilities

In the role of preparator, you have broad responsibility and drive projects from idea to finished solution. You work on developing technical solutions for electricity distribution networks and ensure that projects have the right conditions from both a technical and economic perspective. The work involves performing network calculations, preparing estimates and cost bases, and being responsible for documentation and material handling.

You will also play a central role in contacting landowners, authorities, customers, and contractors, where you coordinate various stakeholders and ensure that the project can be carried out according to plan. Through continuous follow-up and quality assurance, you contribute to projects maintaining high quality, while actively participating in the development of the company's working methods and processes.

Competency Requirements

We are looking for you who have an electrical engineering background and thrive in a role where you can combine technology, structure, and collaboration.

Perhaps you currently work as a preparator, designer, or distribution electrician and wish to develop further within electricity distribution. You may also have experience from related roles within power systems where you have gained understanding of grid construction, design, or contracting activities.

Must-have requirements:

• Electrical engineering education or equivalent work experience
• Experience in electricity distribution, power systems, or contracting activities
• Good computer skills
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious experience includes:

• Aerial lines, underground cable networks, and substations
• EBR (Swedish Electricity Grid Regulations)
• Designer work
• Contract management
• Contract law
• Estimation and tender work
