In the autumn of 2022, JENSEN Primary School opened its doors in a newly built facility in Tungelsta, Haninge Municipality. The school is located in a beautiful rural setting with a cozy small-town atmosphere.

In our school kitchen, we prepare approximately 1,200 meals daily. Of these, about 700 are served on-site, while 500 are delivered to other JENSEN schools. We are now looking for a kitchen assistant who wants to become part of our wonderful team.

About the Role

Our meals are prepared in our production kitchen by chefs and are high-quality, nutritious, and varied. We have a strong focus on sustainability and work actively to utilize ingredients in the best possible way. We also share the belief in the importance of safeguarding children's health and well-being, including actively working to reduce the amount of refined sugar in their diet.

As part of the kitchen staff, you have overall responsibility for, among other things, hygiene in the kitchen and the quality of the meals served. Your main tasks will include ensuring dishwashing procedures, serving meals, and clearing tables before and after meals. The role may also involve delivering food to our other school units when needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is positive and service-minded. We value punctuality and good attendance. You are responsible and have excellent collaboration skills with both children and adults. It is important that you are engaged, flexible, and have a positive, solution-oriented attitude, as the work may involve rapid changes. A B-category driver's license is an advantage as deliveries may be required.

Employment Terms

This is a permanent position at 43.3% (working 4 hours per day to allow for time off during school holidays), starting in August. The position includes a 6-month probation period.

Your Application

You apply by registering your profile and attaching a cover letter and CV in our recruitment system. We welcome your application as soon as possible, as selections are made on an ongoing basis. We only accept applications via the web; applications sent via other channels will not be considered. More information about our recruitment process can be found on our website under "Vacancies".

The first step in our recruitment process is to complete two tests (Mint and Matrigma). Test links will be sent via email immediately after your application is submitted, and you will receive feedback on the results directly after completing them.

For work in schools or preschools, you are required by law (2000:873) to present an extract from the criminal record register. The application form can be downloaded at polisen.se (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/skola-eller-forskola/). We recommend ordering your extract early, as it can take up to 14 days to receive it.
